EDM Magazines Galore

Ever since I got on the electronic music bandwagon, I have been reading lots of materials mainly magazines. No, not PDF's but real paper . Because I work with a netbook with a really small screen, it is really inconvenient for me to read PDF's. That is why almost every week, I head to the second hand bookstore for electronic magazines and ever since then, I have quite a collection. From the electronic edition of the Rolling Stones to Spin, I try to get my hands on every sweet smelling magazine I could find. They are like collectible comic books that I can't help but reading over and over again.

Take a look at what we have:

I also love skateboarding, might as well include them.

.
Up until now whenever it's pay day, I usually scavenge the depths of bookstores to find treasures like these. It may not be much for most of you but it is like finding an oil reserve whenever I get my hands on these.

Anyways, I'll see you next post. Maybe I can share some electronic music that I made. It's a working progress and I'm making sure that you guys would love it as well.

What I want for Christmas is...?

Making good music takes good equipment and good equipment doesn't come cheap. As much as I can, I try to come up with the most awesome tunes out of cheap stuff. Mainly, I use a small keyboard, an outdated PC that freezes when I play call of duty and cheap headphones from the local department store. At least now I have good quality bass headphones that I can work on given as a present.

I know I'm suppose to write this to Santa but might as well share it with you guys. What I really want for Christmas is this thing:

It's an Akai MPD26. I've been wanting to try out launchpads and what their true potential is in the flesh. But as always, money is an issue. That's almost $200 in Amazon and eBay with shipping outside the United States. Anyways, I don't think Santa is ever giving this sweet baby to me; I've been really naughty this year, maybe on the next I'll have my luck and save up.

But at least I got a consolation prize. This:

It's not much but I'm happy I have this baby. At least I can actually take hold of an instrument that I can use in making music. We really love Akai don't we?

See you next post!

New Beginnings

Hello everyone! This the Mad Scientist signing in blogger probably because we are too broke to afford our own domain or I have no idea how to properly program a website and build it up from scratch. But that is not the main topic of this post. If you have read this post up to this far, thanks so much for paying attention.

I made this blog for my love of electronic music and the art of making one. I know we all have our favorites but coming from a country with limited resources, expensive equipment it can be a really hard job. We humbly present our beginnings and believe me, it's not much... literally.

We'll be posting lots of stuff about creating EDM and along with it are our struggles, laughs, tears and hopefully output that we would love to share the world. We would love to hear feedback from the many unknown masters out there, read tips from you guy or let us hear what most of you would want to hear on your music.

Let's cut this post short. Be back with you in a bit. Take care and see you around really soon.
